CVSM-CLSU graduate made it to the top once again in the Veterinary Licensure Exam (VLE) after 11 years. Felkins Miguel Macabitas topped the list of passers with 88.20 percentage score, followed by Gian Ato Dizon Canlas, with 85.86. Macabitas was the fourth CVSM-CLSU graduate that made it to the top after Dr. Jim G.Francisco topped the VLE in 1998, Dr. Ritchie D. Candelaria in 2000 and Dr. Darwin G. Ramos in 2001.
Macabitas posted in his facebook timeline his formula of making it to the top. According to him, it is Pressure+Prayer+Perseverance=Top1. Macabitas graduated Cum Laude during the 2013 commencement exercises in CLSU. Moreover, he was also the recipient of Merck, Sharp and Dohme Outstanding Veterinary Student Award and Elanco Animal Health Academic Excellence Award.
A total of 242 out of 611 examinees passed the VLE with a National Passing percentage rate of 39.6 percent. Twenty five out of 41 examinees from CVSM-CLSU passed the VLE with a passing rate of 53.1 percent. The oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees was held at Manila Hotel on November 3, 2013.
